A strange creature roams the night, and then vanishes. A woman is abducted from her home, but the footprints in the area are not human. A man's dreams of monsters become real. These apparently unconnected events bring together a group of strangers, who struggle to understand what is happening. When they meet a trio of monster hunters, they are skeptical, at first. Eventually it becomes clear that mysterious forces, possibly from other dimensions, are engaged in a struggle, and they are unwitting pawns in this conflict.
