Although Lt.Col Jenson was captured after the first rounds of terrible torture inflicted on our POW in North Vietnam, he unfortunately got to experience an abundance of the "lenient and humane treatment" dished out by the brutal communist thugs. As with many of these heroes, he also suffered from the knowledge that his wife divorced him while he was paying the high price for our freedom in those dark and dirty dungeons. Amazingly, he seemed to hold no bitter feelings toward her -- again showing the true character of these heroes. This is another book that should be on a required reading list for ALL high school and college American History students. Our young people today MUST realize there are still people who put others before themselves and are willing to do their duty to the best of their ability even in the toughest of times. Thank you Col.
