Site-Specific Management for Agricultural Systems

This book contains the proceedings of the Second International Conference on Site-Specific Management for Agricultural Systems held in Minneapolis (Bloomington) March 28-30, 1994. A first conference was held in Minneapolis in April 1992. The proceedings provide an overview of recent and current research and applications related to various aspects of SSCM namely, soil resources, managing variability, technology, profitability, environment, and technology transfer. Six position papers located at the beginning of each section introduce the six aspects of SSCM just mentioned followed by volunteer oral and poster papers. Papers presented during a pre-conference workshop on Yield Monitoring and Mapping are also included. Presenters of the second pre-conference workshop on Site-Specific Crop Management Systems are listed in the Appendix I. Abstracts of poster presentations without manuscripts are at the end of each section.
