Sit By The River

Kenji Sasaki moved to Chicago with his wife, Chieko to escape the influence of their Yakuza families on their son. They opened a small grocery store that sold Japanese and other Asian foods. Henrik Raaf, the owner of AmazinGlaze Ceramics and a student of Japanese art from his time studying in Japan became close friends with the family and often shopped at their store. But Henrik is more than just a ceramic artist. He is also one of the Night Dancers who roam the city streets after dark giving muggers and rapists second thoughts about their career choices.

Although Chicago can be a great place to raise a child, it is also considered one of the most gang-infested cities in the United States and when two rival gangs encounter each other in Kenji's store, a gun battle breaks out. Henrik, who was shopping at the time, managed to disarm and kill three of the gangbangers, but not before Chieko was killed by a stray bullet.

When gang members start dying mysteriously, the evidence points to the gangs attacking each other. But when Detective Harry Sanchez and Henrik look at the deaths more closely, they realize that someone is manipulating the events and if they can't stop their insidious machinations soon, the result will be chaos on a massively violent scale.
