Great Story!

At the age of 5, Sienna was introduced to personal tragedies. After wintnessing her father killed in front of her as well as her mother being taken out of her arms. Sienna was left on her own and in the care of Chatman, the boss of one of Miami's biggest prostitution ring. Soon another child named Ryan was brought in the house and instantly the two bonded. Growing up into a young woman, Sienna begins to rebel against Chatman's rules and decides if she is going to be one of Chatman's prostitutes, she will be the top one. Sienna eventually gets to her breaking point plotting to leave when she learns her mother has been murdered. Dealing with the death of her mother, Sienna turns to Ryan for comfort but the two spark a sexual relationship that could get the both killed. Wanting to break free from Chatman, Sienna learns all she cans about her clients and the business, hoping to take over Chatman's business. Will she succeed or will her plots be unfolded to Chatman? Sistah for Sale was definitely a story that not many authors could have or would have tackled. Miasha was able to grab the attention of the reader with the tragedies Sienna dealt with in the beginning and held the attention of the reader to the end. I was able to relate to all the emotions Sienna displayed as well as follow along with her as she grew from a little girl to adolescence. I enjoyed reading this novel but I wish there were more stories from some of the other prostitutes because this was a very interesting topic of human trafficking. Give it up for Sienna and Ryan

These two together were something else. I truly enjoyed Sistah for Sale. It was a quick read and enjoyable to the end.

Great Book from Miasha

Miasha is the author of the popular urban fiction novels "Diary of a Mistress," and "Mommy's Angel." "Sistah for Sale," is a gripping tale about a Miami call girl. As with Miasha's previous releases, "Sistah for Sale," is an edge of your seat story that will keep you reading until you finish the entire book. "Sistah for Sale," is one of those books that you can easily read in one sitting. The main character, Sienna, is faced with one dilemma after another. Sienna is basically on her own, her father was killed years prior and her mother is not around. When Sienna learns that her mother has been killed as well she seeks vengeance for her mother's murder. Sienna finds herself getting deeper and deeper into the sex industry as she tries to find out everything she can about her financially well off clients. Sienna soon finds herself wanting to break free from Chatman, the pimp who made her one of his best women. However, breaking away from him won't be easy for Sienna. "Sistah for Sale," is a great book and fans of Miasha's previous works will be pleased.

Revenge Starts With Sienna

Sienna's father died a brutal death and her mother was taken away right before her eyes at the tender age of 5 years old. A man named Chatman rescues Sienna and raises her with the help of some of his top mistress, but nothing could replace the love of her father and mother until Ryan comes along. Growing up in a house full of call girls, Sienna wants to be the next top mistress, until she learns of a crippling secret Chatman has hidden from her all the years which caused her unbearable pain. Sienna steps up her game and the object of course is revenge and freedom. Sistah For Sale, captures so much truth in the practice of slave trade. The story line flowed smoothly. I was emotionally drawn into the story and found myself angry and sad at the same time. This was my first read by this author and Miasha has made me a fan and I will definately read her other work.

When All That Glitters Is Wrong

Imagine a five-year old girl witnessing her father's murder and being stripped from the clutches of her mother's fists... this was the beginning of Sienna's life story in the novella Sistah for Sale by Miasha. At such a tender age, with no parents, Sienna sought protection and comfort from the man, Chatmon, who rescued her and it appeared he fit the role perfectly. He even provided her with a few surrogate mothers, each having been the top girl of his prostitution ring at one point in time, only to strip them away from her in similar ways as her biological mother had been taken. Sienna vowed to never become attached to another person brought into their home but when Ryan, a boy two years her senior, moved in, she reneged on her promise. Growing up together made the two inseparable and ultimately a secret, romantic relationship ensued. Chatmon did not allow his workers to fraternize with the prostitutes and anyone caught would be punished, thus Sienna and Ryan's need for secrecy. Being raised and living, with prostitutes made her choice of career a no-brainer. Armed with self-taught knowledge of the game, she was determined to secure her position as top girl in Chatmon's business. She knew she had the deal sealed when she obtained international clientele which no woman before her had ever done. Her goal then became to own the business; a vision she and Ryan shared. When one of her international clients summoned her to escort him to a conference, she realized how grimy the business she had known all her life was as the speakers discussed ways to crack down on human trafficking. With this knowledge and Chatmon's physical abuse, would she really be the one to make a difference like one of his prostitutes told her long ago? Or would she be forever trapped, selling her body for a man who was not the person he appeared to be? Sistah for Sale is an excellent, intimate glimpse into a business that is blossoming at an alarming rate. Having attended a few human trafficking seminars myself, I was amazed with the accuracy of Miasha's writing on the subject. She successfully blended reality with fiction, allowing readers to see the horrors of selling dreams to people from other countries only to bring them to the states for prostitution or as extremely cheap labor. The character depth was great; I connected with all of them, even Chatmon. The author executed writing SFS in first person with grace, as it is not an easy task to incorporate dialogue with this view, nor is it easy to provide good imagery without being extremely wordy. I recommend Sistah for Sale to urban fiction fans and those who enjoy contemporary fiction. Reviewed by Darnetta Frazier APOOO BookClub
