I hate to read... probably haven't read a whole book in 3 years. The cover of Singletini just caught my eye so I bought it. I read it in 3 days! It was great! I love the lingo and the relationships in the book. It is a good book to read, and a very easy read!

I have never read an Amanda Trimble novel before but while browsing for books at the bookstore the front cover of this book caught my eye. Singletini is a nice quick read about a young woman currently in a crossroads of her life wondering whats next after her friends proceed to get engaged, get pregnant, and otherwise move on in their lives. The twist in this novel is that the main protagnist gets fired from her boring job and proceeds to work as a wingwoman, someone who helps men meet other woman while out at clubs, restaurants, etc. While hiding her new job she someone also gets roped into being the personal attendant for her friend who is getting married. There were plently of laugh out loud moments and I loved the fact that for once a novel did not take place in New York, L.A. or the suburbs.
Perfect book if you are or ever WERE a singletini...

Such an easy read and very "relatable" (I know it's not a word, but the best I could come up with). If you live in or just love Chicago, then this is definitely a great read. A great book finally staged in a great city!! Victoria Hart is the US (midwestern) Bridget Jones, with a sense of style.
Highly entertaining!

This book was really funny and entertaining. There were a bunch of times where Victoria ends up in quite humorous predicaments and they had me laughing out loud (especially crashing into the glass table at Barneys). Overall I really loved Victoria's character and felt she was a lot like most ordinary girls in their 20s. At first I couldn't quite grasp the idea of the "wingwoman" and wondered how this concept would work and be interesting but the author does it great. Congrats on a great debut!
