Great book on this subject-I found it very interesting & useful !

To start with, this book is a result of a nationwide study on how over 50 million single Americans really live. Subjects covered include how & where they live, love, work, spend their leisure time; how do the lives of the once-married, the single parent, differ from that of the never-married; the homosexual from the heterosexual; how do they spend their money and on what? This book dispels all the hothouse myths and shows us-difficulties as well as pleasures-what it is really like to be single in America. There are chapters on Meeting, Dating, Mating, Living Alone, Living Together, The Single Parent, etc. There is a separate survey on the first 12 months after divorce too. Although written in 1982, it still is applicable today.
