I met Carrie Carr at the Expo for Today's Black Woman in Chicago. Though I am not a big fan of romance novels, I bought her novel because she was just such a nice lady. I didn't think I would care for it much because I prefer mysteries but I really enjoyed her book which is a huge compliment coming from a mystery lover. The story held my interest right until the very end. She is indeed a nice person and a fabulous writer. Her book may have opened me up to more romance novels in the future. "Single Black Female" is not just about romance, it's about self betterment and doing the right thing. Good read!
