One of many classic rock bands to emerge from the San Francisco Bay Area, Night Ranger introduced their blend of pop melodies filtered through hard rock guitar in 1982 with their debut album Dawn Patrol. Fast forward to now and the band is still releasing new music and touring the world. Centered around the dual lead vocals of bassist Jack Blades and drummer Kelly Keagy, and the twin guitar pyrotechnics of Brad Gillis and Jeff Watson, coloured by Alan Fitzgerald's keyboards, Night Ranger scored big in the early MTV era with hits like "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" and "(You Can Still) Rock in America." They would make their biggest mark on pop culture with their Top 5 hit "Sister Christian," and became regular visitors to the Billboard charts with the likes of "When You Close Your Eyes," "Sentimental Street," "Four in the Morning" and many others. SING ME AWAY: The Night Ranger Album Review once again sees author Tim Durling assembling a panel of music fans to talk about each of Night Ranger's 13 studio albums.
