An ESL teacher and folksinger thinks Sing it! is superb.

This thoughtful, comprehensive six book series of songs along with taped versions of the songs is really a "chef d'oeuvre" for Millie Grenough. Spanning many kinds of musical genres and carefully graded and classified by grammatical difficulty, the series shares culture while it teaches English. As an ESL teacher who has used music in the classroom for many years, I feel like I have hit "pay dirt" with this set. The background information about each song is excellent, and so are the exercises. The recordings themselves are highly professional and pleasing.
