CGI Primer Plus for Windows gives the reader an excellent overview of CGI, Perl and developing interactive web content. I was able to develop interactive CGIs after reading only a few chapters of this book. I would recommend this book and other books written by this author to everyone.

I borrowed the book from a friend and found it to be quite useful. As a beginning CGI programmer, I found the coverage of CGI basics to be be quite appropriate. Since the book was published in 1996, it does not cover fastCGI programming. Perhaps in a second edition?

This book really helped me develop my skill at programming for the web. I would suggest also buying a separate book on PERL so that you can do more advanced stuff once this book has brought you through the basic and intemediate processes.
