"If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me." (Jeremiah 29:13)
The easiest way to find God is to look for him. Not occasionally or whenever the mood strikes you, and certainly not only on Sundays when someone else is telling you what to think, but every day. He's watching over us every day, so it seems right that we should be at least equally interested in him. And he's not hiding.
What happens, though, when you find God, is that he reveals more of himself to you and everything starts to make more sense. Truth that may have appeared to be controversial becomes obvious and things that were complicated become clear.
The devotional this year has a lot of content that resulted from the doubts, fears, and questions expressed by the Christian population at large during the global coronavirus pandemic. It doesn't matter where you are on the planet if death is stalking you, and it can be quite unnerving; the anxiousness is the same regardless of your location, but so is the solution.
God hasn't abandoned us in our time of need; in fact, I believe he is closer now than he's been at any time in the near past because we've been busy calling on him more. He has always listened and answered, but he will rarely barge in; we just need to be aware, receptive-and simply seeking.
