Simply a Murder?

Police inspector Tim Gordon arrives on a Greek island for his vacation. In the beginning, all is calm and quiet. He is having a good time, exactly like he wanted to. Some day he meets a homosexual, a gay named Loulis, who is his occasional company.
One night, though, Gordon hears a strange noise from the above room. Shortly after, some loud voices follow, and then Tim hears some strange knockings on his door. When he answers the door, Gordon sees Loulis in front of him, crying desperately.
He confesses to a self-defense murder. He says he has killed his boyfriend. Inspector goes up to his room, and there indeed he faces the gory victim. But then his eyes are fixed on something very strange, which leads him to suspect that the case is not so simple.
Is that gay so innocent as he claims to be, or not?
