Simple but delicious family meals

I purchased a used copy of this cookbook about 5 years ago and have never regretted the decision. It is my favorite cookbook for making homey family one-pot meals. I made last week the vegetarian chile for my daughter's Girl Scout troop. Literally last night the troop leader came over my house to ask for the receipe. I am going to surprise her with a copy of this book. I like the fact that the cookbook contains receipes from different ethnic cultures. Curry dishes, down-home chicken with dumplings, Greek shrimp with feta, and yes chile, all in one book. Most of the receipes are easy to follow but use inventive ingredients. This cookbook is not for gourmet cooks but for people who like good hearty food with lots of flavor and variety. I sure wish the publishers had come out with a follow up cookbook.
