Jerusalem. In the temple Simeon wrestles with the conflicting biblical texts about the coming of the Messiah. The scribes can't agree. Will he be a king like David? A prophet like Moses? A priest like Aaron? Will he come soon? How will Simeon know? The story is based Luke's Gospel and on an ancient account passed on among Eastern Christians.
