3.5 Stars Sweaping Tale About Life On a Plantation...

Of course this means, its pretty out dated for a romance and not politically correct, as in, yes, you will see rape scenes in this book. So if stuff like this bother you then I suggest you skip this. As a reader, when I look through romance reviews, I also look to see if the romance book has any cheating/ infidelities. In this book, there was no cheating done, however, the hero does get tempted but does not go through with it. This is a tale about a mistreated girl, saved by a ex-sailor who's been granted a chance at different way of life by inheriting a plantation, their struggle to make a life for themselves in the untamed land. Fighting against slavery, learning to love.... Over all it was not a bad book, I would've given it a solid 4 stars if some parts of the books did not piss me off. LOL. There are much worst out there, I wrote this huge review because I did not think this book deserved 1 star over all.
