If you love romances set in the old west, as I do, this book is a winner. It has everything: adventure, humor, sizzling love scenes and tender emotional moments. The handsome but cynical hero carries invisible wounds that make him impervious to a woman's love, until he meets a green-eyed innocent, fresh from a convent. Their story, set in the mountains around Silverton, Colorado, truly deserves the "bumpy road to love" award. The best thing about this novel is the fast paced plot. It kept me up until the wee hours of morning, eager to see what came next. I also enjoyed Ms. Simms' impressive historical detail and scenic descriptions. All in all, a terrific read!
Wow! Loved It!

I've read it so many times! If ever there was a book everyone needs to read, this is it. I like the way the story turns, and especially i like Jake. Roxie erally turned out the way i thought she should. Feilicity and Yancy really show true colors through-out the book.
