Can't wait for next book!!

I just finished this book EARLY this morning after staying up until 2am because I just couldn't put it down, and now I've been sitting with my thoughts for HOURS and need to ramble lol!! (I'm torn between rating it 4 stars or 4.5 stars, so if I re-edit the rating part that's why) Anyways onto the bookish ramble!! Silver & Blood is a beauty and the beast retelling/fae romantasy with major enemies-to-lovers, lots of spice/tension, and a main character that I actually liked even more than Feyre from ACOTAR. (I do love ACOTAR, so no one get hissy but Riela was more relatable to me for most of the book in comparison to Feyre, especially given that the first in that series was also a fae x beauty and the beast retelling.) I really understood the main character's flaws, mistakes, and because I found her so relatable I didn't get annoyed by any of those things. I loved rooting for her every step of this book! I loved her development and journey, and especially where it looks like her story is going to lead to in the next book!! Romance wise.... okay so I rooted for them and definitely enjoyed the romance subplot, but one of them *ahem* Garrick *ahem* kept causing problems and was soo annoying at times with his "She could be faking it, I can't trust her but I'm super drawn to her" even after Riela had proven herself multiple times. I honestly wanted Riela to turn him down more until he would fix it. Garrick, the broody fae love interest, was not exactly my favorite when he jumped to conclusions. At all. But eventually he made up for it, though I would have liked a bit more groveling and playing hard to get from Riela personally... The annoying problems he would cause or way he would think are the only true con in my eyes for the whole book-- everything else I loved!! Plot and world wise, I ABSOLUTELY loved the author's creativity with the fae courts and the magic of their world!! I can't wait to see what she does in the next book and where she takes us! The plot's pacing was great, though I wish we'd gotten a bit more with the cliff-hanger at the end but I also liked where the author chose to end it because we already know what the characters need to do next (or more accurately where they need to go). I'm trying so hard to not spoil too much lol!! But if you love: hidden identity, enemies to lovers, fae x beauty and the beast romantsy, spicy tension between a human mage struggling to survive and a broody mistrusting fae king... definitely give this one a try!!
