A pretty good super chiller

I'm really surprised there aren't more recent reviews on the Fear Street series, I figured I can't be the only one who still reads them! but yes, they are older books from the late 80's and early to mid 90's. But I love R.L. Stine, and I still read his older books today. Anyways, I enjoyed this Fear Street book, however it was not one of my favorites. I found that it didn't have much of a plot to it, and that's hard to explain unless you read it. However, there were a lot of interesting parts of the story and the characters were really enticing and mysterious. A nice read, I would recommend!

A guilty pleasure...

I read this book for the first time about ten years ago and absolutely loved it! In elementary and middle school, I was an R.L. Stine fanatic. I have read many of his books, and to this day, the "Silent Night" trilogy is my favorite--this one coming in first. I'm 21 years old now and still love this book... During the summer or weekends, I often find myself picking this book up and have probably read it about 15 times now. It's kind of just a comforting (guilty) pleasure that takes me back to my childhood... The story is actually really creative and it's even better to me now because it was written so long ago that the fashions described in the story (and other R.L books) are laugh-out-loud funny. Tapered jeans, "diamond-like studs" in the guys' ears, the whole bit. It's just great! Also, in November and December, it's great to get in the holiday mood! Highly recommended!

This book is such a good one!

I have read a few R.L Stine books and I can say this one is probably my favorite. I suggest reading it in November or December so that it will get you in the holiday mood. It's a very easy read with a good ending. I have also read all of the sequels and I really like this one!

R.L. Stine has done it again!

Reva Dalby is a spoiled, snobby, stuck-up girl and no one likes her. So someone wants to get Reva back for all the horrible things she has done. First she found a needle in her lipstick, then someone sends her a present containing a surprise. Reva is scared now. Who is doing all these horrifying things to Reva? Reva's money can't help her. No one can. After all, who can you turn to when murder comes....gift wrapped?

A super-chiller for all horror readers!

"Silent Night" by R.L.Stine holds many suspenseful and surprising moments. One of my favorite parts was when Reva, the main character, gets gifts that are sent to terrify her. The card she gets with everyone of them reads: "Happy Holidays From A Friend." This Christmas horror is so realistic that I actually felt like I was one of the characters. The ending is very unpredictable. The villians were the last that I suspected. Reva changes from cold-hearted to good-hearted by the end of the book. The death of a loved one makes Reva act the way she does. I can understand why she would try to act brave and tough, but I don't understand how she could be so cruel. The setting was perfect for the book and added quite a bit to its suspensefulness. This book was one of the best I've read. I reccomend this spine-tingling tale to anyone who likes horror stories. I look forward to reading both sequels to "Silent Night."

A thriller with lots of shocking twists!

I liked the book a lot. Although the author's review on the book should be more focused on Pam, Reva's cousin. Yes, there are a few things that happen to Reva, but more dramatic things happen to Pam. Reva is basically the type of rich, snobbie girl that gets her way all the time. She doesn't have any friends, even though she thinks that she does. Her cousin Pam is a down-to-earth type of person. She's begun to hate her cousin Reva. Reva has done nothing but treat Pam like she was worth nothing. Pam wasn't rich at all. She didn't have nice clothes, or even a job. For some reason Reva envied Pam, and always treated her wrong. Pam wants revenge. Her friend Clay cooks up a plan. At first Pam wants nothing to do with it, but eventually decides to go along with his plan. I won't tell you what happens because I think you should read it yourself. But I will tell you that the book has a lot of surprising twists, and I think you'll like the ending alot too! It's a perfect
