EXCELLENT!

I had to buy a SECOND copy of this book because I couldn't get my first copy away from my then 3 year old. He's 4 now, and this book sits on his nightstand. He LOVES to look through the pictures and practice the signs. Of all the books we have on ASL, these pictures are the easiest to follow. I LOVE this book. The author did an EXCELLENT job!

SPEECH DELAY, YOU SAY ?

THIS IS WHAT THE SPEECH THERAPIST ORDERED.Actually, she wanted me to use signed english. We used signs to help until my child could form more words orally. Now we are learning the language to talk to my friends children. Yhis is a great book to start children learning the third used language in this U.S.A. We let the child pick which word to learn as he gets older. LEARN PIZZA FIRST, OF COURSE !

Excellent book for parents

This book is excellent for parents of children. Our child is developmentally delayed and dosen't speak. With the help of her therapist and this book we use signs while we are speaking to her to help her better understand the words. Our daughter now knows four signs and uses them regularly.

EXCELLENT FOR PARENTS WHO'D LIKE TO TEACH A CHILD

I have a 3 year old with speech delays and he is beginning touse signing as a means of communication. This book gives excellentpictures and descriptions for an adult who needs to learn simple everyday words and gestures through sign language. I know my child will benefit through my purchase of this book.

User friendly and nicely organized, adults or kids.

This book is organized in a manner which allows for easy use. Signs are grouped into related categories, and the illustrations are clear and simple. I've used many books on signing, and this one is tops for adults as well as kids.
