Significance and Language in Heidegger's *Being and Time*

What is the relationship between the world as meaningfulness and language? This question, which forms the focus of the study, is addressed with reference to the philosophical project of *Being and Time*. A project whose first step consists in explaining the structures of human existence. The problem of the role of language in structuring the world is addressed from the perspective of human existence as a fact. One must therefore reject the thesis that the world-language relationship can be analysed as if these were two entities existing 'in themselves', to which human beings relate only a posteriori.
