In a science fiction comedy of manners, a group of tourists explore a California Delta landscape upon which has been projected the structures and neuron pathways of a generic human brain. Geographic features and buildings have been constructed and molded to conform with the projected cognitive centers to create a theme park. Current neuroscience is covered as part of the tour, which is intended to be an educational experience for the tourists, but the generic psyche interacts with the tourists' psyches in unpredictable ways as do the tourists with each other. The story is a psychological novel with theories of psychology and the cognitive sciences at its core. The narrative also touches on quantum physics, sexism, internalized homophobia, and gender issues. The political tone is liberal. All of the main characters are Caucasian except one Latina. One of the main characters is a lesbian, and one is gender-free. It is meant as a companion to Forgiveness Almanack, a nonfiction work on the psychology of forgiveness, which is available on amazon.com.
