Lincoln Perry was not Stepin Fetchit

This book made me re-evaluate my thoughts about Stepin Fetchit (Lincoln Perry). I had joined the line of people who saw him as an embarassment to his race. But after reading this biography, which is well researched, I have become convinced that he was a complex person whose life journey deserves to be re-evaluated and judged within the time period in which he lived. There was much more to him than anyone could imagine. Lincoln Perry was not Stepin Fetchit! This biography is food for thought. It would make a great reading for a book club as it would lead to lively discussions. I highly recommend it!
