Discovering a fountain that temporarily halves the age of anyone who drinks from it, Doug and Milo devise a lot of good ideas, including getting into the movies for half price, until they realize that... This description may be from another edition of this product.
this is an eccelent book and i reccomend it to everyone.e.m. goldman is a fantastic writer who captures the feelings of the characters and the readers can actually relate to that stuff. its like i would do that stuff in the same situation. also goldman puts the story in almost everyones perspective. sometimes its milo (12) sometimes its cassandra (14) and sometimes its doug (12). its even in the bad guys perspective, so to speak. as for the actual storyline doug, his mother, and his little brother move into an old victorian house after his mothers divorce. dougs cousin cassandra is sent to live there as well.when doug and his best friend milo and cassandra go exploring in the back yard they discover a clogged up birdbath with fountain of youth carved into the bottom. well of course they unclog it and milo gets hit full in the face with it. he shrinks to the size of a six year old (but unfortunatley his clothes dont). the effect of the water only lasts for three hours so they decide to use the fountain to get into movies half price, get better candy at halloween, and be cuddled by girls at a girls pajama party (lucky sons of b___). but unknown to them someone else knows about the fountain. someone with more sinister plans.
