Shri RAM Katha: Vishwamitra Takes Ram and Lakshman

Once upon a time, in the land of Ayodhya, there lived a great king named Dasharatha. He was known for his courage, wisdom, and generosity. One day, a powerful sage named Vishwamitra arrived at his palace and requested his help.

Vishwamitra was engaged in a fierce battle with the demon Tadka and her demon army. He needed two brave warriors to help him defeat them. Vishwamitra saw the courage in the eyes of Dasharatha's two sons, Ram and Lakshman. He demanded the young princes from King Dasharatha, who was reluctant to let them go.

However, Vishwamitra was not to be denied. He used his immense power to defeat Tadka and her demons, and on the way, he also defeated the demon Subahu. After the victory, the sage decided to take the young princes to Mithila to attend King Janak's great swayamvara ceremony. The swayamvara was held to find a suitable husband for King Janak's daughter, Sita. When the sage arrived in Mithila with Ram and Lakshman, King Janak welcomed them warmly. He recognized Ram's exceptional qualities and was impressed with his valor and intelligence.
Vishwamitra revealed to Ram and Lakshman that Ahilya, the wife of the sage Gautama, had been cursed and turned into a stone. Ram, with his pure heart and devotion, decided to free Ahilya from the curse. He touched the stone with his foot, and Ahilya was transformed back into her original form.

The ceremony was attended by kings and princes from all over the land, but it was Ram who won Sita's hand in marriage.

Vishwamitra trained the young princes in the art of warfare and magic. After the training, Ram and Lakshman returned to their father's kingdom of Ayodhya, where they were welcomed with great joy and celebration. The two princes had learned valuable lessons from their time with Vishwamitra, and they would go on to become great warriors and leaders in their own right.
