Show Me Quickly: The Struggle is Real

My name is Elliott Reed. You can call me Elliott, if you are grown or Mr. Reed, if you are not. Certain people call me "Coach" or "Mr. Elliott" too. I am writing this story just for you. I am writing it using what I call the "Ruby Standard" that I named for my then-8-year-old daughter. If I cannot explain a concept, an idea, a notion without meandering into more than a third-grader's capacity to reason then I need to reconsider it. Not the premises of it, mind you, but the delivery. I am not dumbing anything down. I am not sugar-coating anything for you. I am giving you the truth about my life because I have a very specific goal -- I want the next generation to beat the current one on everything. I want to have a competition and I want to give you an idea of what I have done right, wrong, and so-so, in order to help steer you towards the right things, assist you in taking control over the things in your life that would distract, derail, or devour it.
