We yell shotgun to gain access-to acquire that special privilege to sit up front in a vehicle. Usually social standards place people naturally into cars-father drives, children sit in the back and mother, well mother wears the proud crown of shotgun. These social cues are natural to families mostly, but in certain circumstances, one can have the unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit to ride shotgun.
