Sitting near the hearth now, on my old worn sofa; I remember early in my life that special feeling I often had while reading with only the light from the fireplace to see by. Of course we had electricity, but the smell from the oak logs burning brightly; well...it just made winter feel more special. And with the fire flickering next to me now, I have put together several stories which I have created that remind me of those winter evenings; stories that seem to me were meant to be read by firelight.
