Little Nuggets of Inspiration

In Shoes for the Spirit, Tamra Nashman offers little nuggets of inspiration, perfect for our busy lives. With topics such as fear, love, and healing, Tamra brings the subjects to life through stories we've all experienced to one degree or another. Great as a bedside book, ready to grab and enjoy in a few short minutes a day. Thanks, Tamra!

WARNING! Important spiritual truths will be learned if you read this book!

Seriously, one may tend to discount the depth of spiritual insight in a book whose title lends itself to thinking that its all about what most women might consider their favorite things: shoes! But alas - such is not the case in this smart, oftentimes funny, sometimes sad but always touching book. In her freshman project,'Shoes for the Spirit:Encouragements', Tamra opens herself up to readers and invites us to walk with her as she bares her soul and shares what she has learned about FAITH as it applies to her everyday life. This is an easy read, as Tamra is a genius at weaving words together to make them almost melodic... while never sacrificing the integrity of what God has taught her through her life experience. Beware of this book if you don't want to be moved by the writers heart - or motivated to 'step it up' so that we, too, can experience 'walking' with the One whose footsteps the author so clearly tries to follow. Bravo, Tamra Nashman! I'll be waiting for her next project with great anticipation.

What a GREAT Concept....especially for a "shoe-lover" like me!

Tamra Nashman has hit on something that captured my attention. The idea of using shoes as a description for what our "walk" with God is all about was nothing short of clever as well as providing a real taste of true spiritual enlightenment. Shoes for the Spirit is well written, with windows continually being opened so we can peer inside and see the heart and soul of the author. Being able to walk with her through different experiences, enables us to understand why she knows what she knows and therefore can share what she has learned along the way. The companion CD is a lovely bonus...soothing and calming in an otherwise crazy and noisy world. Anytime a person will take their own personal life stories and turn into something that will enable others to learn is a positive thing. I'm very glad that Tamra chose to do just that!

New Ways to Walk in the Spirit

Tamra Nashman has written an honest, often humorous, sometimes poignant book guiding us to reconsider our application of Scripture in daily life. She often tells tales on herself, and shares stories of other women, who have searched for ways to live more authentic Christian lives in the 21st Century. If you are looking for a book to encourage others in living true to themselves and God in daily circumstances, this is a good book to recommend.
