Shocking Pink

This novel is a contemporary piece of fiction. My protagonist Sara's goes on the streets of Bristol and hangs about with homeless people and bumps into a homeless beggar named Squirrel, this results in her being introduced to Innit, a good looking, unkempt, young man. They spend the night under the stars. After a traumatic episode where Innit is injured by a chav called Kev, they go to a party in an abandoned shop. They hope to find a squat. Sara goes to investigate an exotic dance club to gain a bar job. Innit and Squirrel find a squat and all three of them live together. Sara gains more insight into street life. Sara is starting to gain a drug habit. Sara is traumatised, going to a warehouse party almost tips her over the edge. The narrative transforms into pink because Sara wears her metaphorical pink-tinted sunglasses.
