"Shiver" is the sequel to "Cancer of People on Earth." In this third novel in the Viking Family Adventures series, Earth's population is still at 20 billion, the year is 2086. The planet continues to crumble and threaten all life on Earth and its essential geological structure. The world is plagued with continued threats of failing economies due to exorbitant tariffs, famine and chronic thirst issues, pandemics, wars over water, violent and more frequent tectonic shifts, and the still remaining 260 nuclear weapons.

The Nobel Prize winning engineer Platypus, and his 86 year old wife Childra, are now retired, but cast into the role of consultants in solving these enormous world problems. Plat and Childra, along with the new Secretary General of the Crescent Lands Council, Dr. Maria Constructa Rodriguez Magnifica, work with the Viking Family of superheroes to reverse the continuation of the total planetary collapse. Two new characters are introduced, Papaya and Sequoia, the miracle twins born to Plat and Chill. These baby geniuses use humor to assist their parents and the CLC to solve these gargantuan planetary problems.

This is a fast paced story of dark and threatening world problems, but this roller coaster of collaboration comes full circle in the end with a glorious conclusion of celebration and music... and a plan to save planet Earth.
