SHINE: 40 Days of Light is a devotional journey built around five anchoring truths from Camp Wightman's summer curriculum: You Are Seen. You Are Made. You Are Sent. You Are Brave. You Are Better Together. Rooted in Matthew 5:14-16, each theme invites young people to discover that their light is real - and the world needs it.

The Explorer Edition is written for children ages 6-8 and is designed to be used with a trusted grown-up. Week 1 walks through the camp experience day by day. Week 2 begins the journey home - with a special invitation for a parent, grandparent, or caregiver to join. Weeks 3-7 go deeper into each theme. Week 8 looks ahead.

Each daily entry is short and accessible: a simple reading, something to draw or write, a question to talk about together, and a prayer to say out loud. Five minutes. No theology degree required.

Camp Wightman is a Christian camp and retreat center in Griswold, Connecticut, affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of Connecticut (ABCCONN) and ABC-USA. For nearly seventy-five years, Camp Wightman has been a place where young people discover they are seen, loved, and sent.
