Shield of Faith

By: Blakemore, Terra

How many times can life take a detour and love find its way home? How many times can two hearts cross before they beat as one?

In Shield of Faith is a contemporary novel spanning twelve years in the lives of twenty-nine-year-old Justice Shield and twenty-seven-year-old Freedom Forrester. Faith is undercover, justice is denied, and true love takes a detour when sixteen-year-old Faith Palmer stumbles on a human and drug trafficking organization in her hometown.

After an ambush leaves her mother dead, her family estranged, and two

criminals in hot pursuit of revenge, Faith loses everything. She's placed in the witness protection program as Freedom Faith Forrester with a military family deployed to Japan.

After eight years in the Air Force and one night of indiscretion with the man of her dreams, Freedom ventures to her mother's hometown as a single mother searching for a real home, a real father, a real faith, and a real God.

Meanwhile, Justice Shield, suffering from PTSD and his own personal and professional tragedies, has been spiraling out of control, contending with God, and contemplating the worst. At his lowest point, though, God intervenes, giving Justice a new passion, a new purpose, a new perspective, a new life, and a new love. But will Justice and Freedom overcome fear and trauma, violence and vengeance to find everlasting love before threats from the past reemerge?
