Beautiful and inspiring without being overwhelming

Book consists of some traditional pattern repeats with beautiful photos of cobweb lace swatches. Then there are approximately 10 written (not charted) cobweb lace patterns, from stoles to shawls to a skirt - and several baby christening items. Stunning photographs to accompany everything. All with historic shetland patterns. Not necessarily historical techniques tho, some items call for circular needles. Also more purling than i thought shetland knitters did... But still a gorgeous book! Enough information to teach and inspire, but not so comprehensive that it overwhelms.
