Doctor John Watson wrote many accounts of successful cases in which Sherlock Holmes provided great insight, and more than once, rescued the police from their incompetence and failure. We are comforted that in the company of Doctor Watson and Sherlock Holmes, we will, briefly, be alongside the two men who brought detection and deduction to its maturity, one man marvelling at the powers of the other.
