Since its inception in 1997, the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance (Jofa) has championed women's Torah scholarship and Torah leadership. This grassroots organization has been advocating for Orthodox educational and communal institutions to expand and strengthen opportunities for girls and women within the framework of halakha, Jewish law, to build a vibrant and equitable Orthodox community.

Throughout its existence, Jofa has prioritized elevating and amplifying women's scholarship, including the publication of Shema Bekolah Torah articles written by women. The result has consistently demonstrated the dramatic growth of women's learning during this time period. We are proud to share this latest installment, Shema Bekolah: The High Holiday Collection, a compendium of original and previously published Divrei Torah.We are excited to produce this volume of Orthodox women's Torah commentary to add to institutions' and individuals' libraries.
