Sheltered Under the Umbrella of Grace

One Sunday morning while headed to the home of her son, Teresa L. Holmes saw something that sent her on a journey of self-reflection. She witnessed a church ministry that was extending such fellowship and kindness to other church members. A group of ladies and gentlemen greeted other church members at their car and walked them to the church door under large umbrellas. An ear to ear small spread across Teresa's face. What a joy this was to see. Then her heart started pounding as she reflected on her own ministry. Leading it had not been easy by any means. There were times when she felt like she was drowning from the downpour of challenges and hardships. A light bulb then went off as she continued driving. She realized how blessed she had been through the struggles. There were times when she was frantic because of the storms that were raging. However, through each storm, God sheltered her with an umbrella of His own making. He provided finances, divine connections, and other resources. There were so many lessons she had learned along the way; those that she could now share and use as tools to keep building on the foundation she had constructed.
