This anthology of poems covers a variety of topics, including memory, memories, time, and nature. Thinking about the mechanics of how our memory functions (or malfunctions ) led me to write 'The Art of Memory' and 'The Tip of My Tongue'. Some of my childhood memories are covered in 'School Days' and 'Shortening Pencils', as well as 'Noises Off'. 'Shelling Peas' is about me remembering the relationship I had with my Dad. Other poems are observational in style, as a result of spending time looking out of the window at the garden (Autumn Landing) and being at a pizza restaurant in London (Christmas in February).
