I had to buy this book for one of my college classes called Sheetfed Press. I have not finished the book yet, but so far it has been informational and it has helped me with the class overall. The information is well organized and easy to understand for the beginner. Anyone wanting to learn about this subject would benefit greatly from this book.

As a textbook

I use this text for basic and advanced courses at RIT. This book explains the multiple systems on modern offset lithographic presses. It is usually clear and concise (except its explaination of the many possible dampening systems is confusing). The diagrams and photographs are very helpful.This book is appropiate for the layman or seasoned pressman looking for how the machine works. It does not tell one how to make the machine work or replace the manufacturers operation manual.
