That spotlight was supposed to be mine. I was going to take over the lead after Steve Williams was kicked out. Then along came the wonder kid from YouTube and the next thing we know, Ryan Davies is the new lead singer of Loud Music.Glitz and glamor were his life growing up in Hollywood as a child star, now the bright lights, screaming groupies, and Loud Music call his name. Trevor Knight, acoustic guitarist for America's favorite rock band seems to have it all, but in reality, his life has been anything but charmed. Only those he trusts most know what happened that tragic night in his family home when Trevor had to be rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries. After a court judge grants his emancipation, Trevor sets out to build life anew. The rock group is taking off in popularity, he's found a nice place to live with his younger sister and a live in Nanny, and things seem to be finally turning around until Ryan Davies steps into the lead singer role of the band, and Jealousy takes root. An uncomfortable, nagging sensation creeps up my spine. Spindly fingers reach into my stomach, my heart, my mind. An angry voice seems to whisper in my ear, "He's taking what's yours, Trevor!" It's never fun spending your career in the shadow of a kid with better stage persona than you've ever had, seeing him mess up time and again, ending up in jail more times than he cares to count. And yet, Ryan is the charmed one. The press loves him, fans love him. It seems his bad behavior is rewarded with constant praise and adulation.The jail might as well have a revolving door just for the kid. And thanks to their new lead singer Loud Music is headed into a storm they might not survive. Will the tumult of this storm completely destroy the members of Loud Music, or will they survive the hurricane known as Ryan Davies? Only time will tell.
