This has been a strong desire because we believe that this story will be a great blessing to our own children, as well as to the rest of our extended family.Sam and I want to tell about Mother and Daddy and how wonderful they were. They were our prayer guides and we saw in them what we hoped to be one day.How we enjoyed hearing Dad tell us about his beloved family! They had six children: three girls and three boys. Listing from the oldest to the youngest their names were Trula, Irene, Robert, Ruth, Sam, and Charles. They were born to Robert Franklin Longbottom and Mary E. Brown. The oldest sister Trula and our Dad, Sam, were born in Knoxville, Tennessee, while the others were born in Asheville, North Carolina.Mother's family included three daughters and one son. All lived in Florida. Myrtice was the oldest and then came Emily (Mother), Jimmy, and Eunice. They were born to James T. Wills and Ethel Lenora Godfrey. Uncle Jimmy joined the Navy and travelled to many places. He finally retired and came back to Florida. Eunice was the youngest in the family and she was beautiful.
