The information in this book will cause you to look at society and our innate ability to live blissfully blind in a whole new way!! It is a true "gut check" of the realities of everyday life for so many silently hurting and wounded people. A "MUST READ" for anyone desiring to be a productive part of changing this world in which we live. This is a message of hope, love, faithfulness and ultimately the healing power of truth. Laurie's willingness to share such intimate details of struggles in her own life and the lives of those touched by these circumstances will be applauded by many. TIMELY

This book is "for such a time as this." Just as David does through the Psalms, Laurie walks you through the secret most places of the heart - through the fears, the anger, the shame, and ultimately through the victory. It's one thing to learn from someone who has book knowledge; it's quite another to glean from one who's been there. This is a must read.

One of the Most Liberating Books I've read

This book not only aids in the healing of sexual abuse and betrayal, but it gives insight into God's heart for us to be freed in ALL areas where we've been scarred. It was so liberating for me. And what an easy read! It was her life story, not just conjecture and opinion.

Telling it like it is

This book is probably the most honest and real thing I have ever read. Dealing with betrayal, pain, and ultimate healing and victory, Laurie shares from her gut the journey that she and her late husband took as he faced his inner demons while under the spotlight of being a leader in the body of Christ-and as she faced her own inner mechanisms as she tried to be the "perfect" wife-and how God brought healing and freedom. Interspersed throughout, she shares the keys that God gave her that enabled her and her husband to be overcomers-and also how she coped with widowhood after his death. I would recommend this book not only to those wounded by sexual transgression or betrayal, but to anyone who struggles in their marriage in any area while wondering where God actually is through it all...this is also a book filled with wisdom for those who have lost a loved one as it also deals with the grief process. I would also highly recommend this to anyone who is a counselor or pastor to hurting people.

Real and Timely

Laurie is brave and truly looking out for others in her revelation of the love and mercy of God. I know several people who have been shattered by life's veracity and I believe that this book is filled with the care and direction people need today when facing or trying to make sense of personal devastation in their lives. This book could be a lifesaving gift for someone this year. Laurie is genuine and open in her chronicle as she reveals God's compassion for those who need to know that they are not alone!
