Another advantage is that it is sort of a travel log. We get to see:
Santa Monica, California, USA
Los Angeles, California, USA
Mo's Place - 203 Culver Blvd, Playa del Rey, California, USA
A freak storm hits the West Coast with sharking results. It has the standard Hallmark/disaster formula that The Asylum films are known to produce.
We have scantily clothed girls who must make the decision to be felt up by rich drunks or dispatched by land sharks (knock, knock “Candy gram”). Many scenes are tossed-up, and we are not just sure to root for the ignorant proletariat or the displaced Selachimorpha (sounds like a dirty word.)
In any event, there is lots of blood and guts action. Only the flamethrower has been replaced by a chainsaw. It does help that they did not try to make the movie overcampy.
This is a must-see for those who are skeptical of Global Warming before it is too late.
The Blu-ray version I watched had:
“Making OP”
Gag reel
The Asylum trailers
