My name is Donna and I write about my fears, tears and broken heart when my son was active in his heroin addiction. I suffered a lot emotionally because I didn't know how to save him. I suffered a lot emotionally because I thought I could love him into recovery and that didn't work.

When I hit my enough, of being his Unhealthy Helper, I took back my power and started to heal. Along the way, I found my voice and my passion. I founded Families Sharing Without Shame in 2010, a support group in NH for concerned parents.
