Shamanic Wisdom: Nature Spirituality, Sacred Power and Earth Ecstasy This is one of the best & favorites of my books. It is unique, easy to read, a great book for beginners. It explains the basics of Native American spirituality. What I like most about this book is that it is simple to read and it is very open-minded. There are no specific ways that must be followed. Creativity is encouraged. This is a beginner's book into the understanding of Native American belief systems. I highly recommend this book.

A friendly introduction to something missing in our culture

Since two months ago when my wife bought this book for me, I have re-read it, and done some of the nature connecting activities described in the book. I have found tremendous value from this book. For those people who are shying away from reading this book because of its title, let me offer this insite:Shamanism is not a belief system. Shamanism describes a set of earth honoring VALUES. As such, shamanism does not discredit or disallow any beliefs.So go ahead, read and learn. I have found many ways to integrate the values of shamanism into my medical practice.Kevin Bethel MD
