Two young men, recent high school graduates, get roped into a spy mission during the prelude to the Cuban invasion of 1962. The two boys, Tab Benson and Billy Grumman are separated for the first part of the story, one stays with the sailboat and the other travels down through Mexico by whatever means possible, while facing one danger after another. Tab spent most of his summers working on farms where he picked up several foreign language skills while Billy's summers were working the sailboat tourist route with his older brother. This will be their first summer working together, but definitely not their last.
