SHAKE OFF THE DUST by Howard Kishpaugh is not only an outstanding work of literature,but a beautiful work of art.SHAKE OFF THE DUST is the best novel I read in 2001. You'll get to laugh, as well as cry with the characters. You'll also become so entwined in the book that you never want it to end. A must read for all who like a little meat with their bones.

SHAKE OFF THE DUST is a beautiful work of fiction that entitles the reader to share the many facets of the human experience. It is recommended to all who like adventure, suspense, mystery, romance and ministry. It is the kind of book that after you have turned all the pages, you'll take something with you on your journey of life.

Sad news

I am sorry to report that Fr. Kishpaugh passed away peacefully on January 11, 2000

The book was an excellent depiction of real life struggles.

This book takes you on a real journey of one man's struggle to find himself after tragedy rearranges his lifespace. It is compelling in it's natural look at the human side of ministry, mission, and God. I enjoyed it entirely. I hope to see more from this author.

This is one of the best Christian novels I've read.

I am usually wary of novels written by Christians, I usually find them unreal and unappetizing. This book is a refreshing exception. It has bones, marrow, and sinew. The author has created characters that are completely human,yet I care about them, even admire them at times. This book does not preach, but I know that good and wholesome things were strenghtened in me by reading it. This is not a book to take lightly, although it is very readable and entertaining. Be careful, if you read this book, you may find youself more in love with your God, your wife, and your fellow man!
