Shadows of the Sun

By: Matzen, Katherine

Sabra Narvi knows exactly which planet she's from. And this snow-filled nightmare of a place isn't it.

While protecting the terminally ill Secretary of Defense at his Wyoming family ranch, Medic Evan Stone and his team are trapped by an unexpected blizzard. As the storm strengthens, Evan finds a woman wandering in the snow who is dressed for a summer day and has no memory of how she got there. And the things she does remember make no sense.

Sabra Narvi had an eidetic memory. But now she doesn't know where she is, how she got there, or if she can trust the scant memories that haunt her brain. She's a diplomat and a skilled fighter, but has no training in First Contact procedures. And the men who saved her from freezing to death have no idea their planet is on the verge of being invaded by the alien Falgarans.

Evan tries to deny his growing attraction to the woman who claims to be a healer, even though she drives him crazy with her insane statements.

Sabra lost all chances at love when her family died, but who would know she broke taboo on an alien planet?

When she finds signs of an alien invasion can Sabra convince Evan she isn't delusional? Or will the Falgarans succeed in taking over Earth?

Shadows of the Sun is the third book in the Beryllian Alliance series. It is a stand-alone story, but is better when read after At Night's End and Storm Clouds at Sunset. All roads lead to Folly Springs, Colorado where Terrans and aliens coexist. Can Sabra convince them that their mutual enemy is on their doorstep?
