Shadows of My Mind

Each poem in this collection is an unvarnished depiction of the mental turmoil I experienced while under the suffocating influence of depression. These lines capture the core of my hell, the gloom that settled over my mind and heart. Writing down my feelings helped me feel less alone and that there was a ray of light shining through the darkness.

My intention in sharing these personal works is that they will provide a voice to those who feel helpless in the face of depression's isolation. Through my openness, I hope to show you that you are not alone in your struggle.

Writing this book was like a journey to a place of healing, where I could face my greatest fears and find my way through the maze of the dark. My poetry was an attempt to make sense of the tangled feelings I'd been repressing, to break down the knots of grief and salvage what was left of my broken spirit.

To anyone who pick up this book, may its soothing words provide peace, restoration, and a fresh start. Let this be a symbol that the human spirit can triumph over adversity and return to the light, even when it seems none exists.
