The city, the relationships, and the consequences all feel more real this time around, like you’re settling deeper into a place you already know. The characters really shine here. There is still plenty of fun and banter, but this book is not afraid to sit with heavier stuff like loss, guilt, and learning to live with choices you cannot undo. It all feels natural and earned. The action is sharper and more intense, with fights that carry real weight behind them. NightStrike feels like a confident sequel that leans into character and emotion just as much as spectacle. I finished it fully invested and ready for whatever comes next in the series.
